Rally Portugal returns to Estoril after 39 years

The Vodafone Rally de Portugal will make its return to Estoril for the first time in 39 years this week, with the official start of the 2014 event taking place at the Casino Estoril Gardens on Thursday 3 April. 
Cars will begin arriving at the pre-start holding area in the Gardens from 11.30 ready for the start itself at 15.00 hours. However, before this, there will be a photoshoot with the main WRC drivers at 13.45 and an autograph session, again with the main WRC drivers, from 14.15 – 14.35 hours. 
Reigning world champion Sebastien Ogier will also be presenting a cheque for €1000 to the Estoril volunteer firefighters before the start. 
Following the Portuguese National Anthem, the cars will cross the start ramp and begin a 20Km road section to Lisbon and the Praça do Império, for the Super Special Stage to open the competition for the 2014 rally.
