Stage Flash - SS15 Vieira do Minho

24 maio 2015

Car 1, Ogier/Ingrassia
“Was a good stage. A clean drive but not perfect. I was not in a position to take too many risks.”

Car 2, Latvala/Anttila
“It was a fantastic stage, I knew I could do it and I have good tyres for the next stage. Mikka was really useful.”

Car 3, Meeke/Nagle
“We have a broken rear anti-roll bar. The car is really difficult to drive. The car has been fantastic this weekend though and we have to stay positive after the speed this weekend.”

Car 4, Ostberg/Andersson
“Everything is working today. I am trying to push a bit and see what we can do against Paddon and did well on the first stage, so we will see. The other guys are going really fast.”

Car 5, Evans/Barritt
“Its nice to be back but that was a very difficult stage. The road sweeping is a big effect. It is really loose and I struggled to get the rhythm. It's important to get through and get experience for the future.”

Car 6, Tanak/Molder
“We were really careful. It was really aggressive for the tyres but we tried to be very clean. ”

Car 8, Sordo/Marti
“That was a slippery stage – a bit close to Ostberg now but maybe I lost some time – I felt the car moving around. I am not sure how the tyres are.”

Car 9, Mikkelsen/ Floene
“I am feeling great. I really enjoyed that stage and am driving within my limits. I feel very confident with the car. Let’s see what Kris [Meeke] can do. I am happy enough.”

Car 14, Kubica/ Szczepaniak
“It was quite tricky but that’s how it is. It is a problem for me, as I am trying tighter lines like on tarmac. A difficult stage but useful to check the notes and get experience.”

Car 20, Paddon/Kennard
“Right from the word go we had three new softs on the car and one used and every left hand corner, it was trying to swap ends on us. We are dealing with what we have got.”

Car 21, Prokop/Tománek
“The stage was really difficult. For me, the worst stage of the rally, It was difficult to see the corners and the notes were not very good. I knew this and I was trying to check the notes. A very difficult stage.”

Car 32, Lefebvre/Prevot
“I am not confident with the pace notes today. I think I am losing a lot of time on this one. Now I am looking to finish only.”

Car 41, Fuchs/ Mussano
“We had an impact and the car does not go straight.”

Car 42, Al-Attiyah/Baumel
“That was not an easy stage. We were really careful all the way but that’s what we needed to do.”

Car 43, Tidemand/Axelsson
“It is a lot of experience for us and the team this weekend. It has been really good and there is more to come.”

Car 44, Kremer/Winklhofer
“We are making a test for Sardinia now, with the suspension and everything.”

Car 47, Gorban/Korsia
“Everything is OK, the car is good and the roads are nice. The last stage is a crazy jump and we will go for it. We enjoy the stage. The notes for this stage are good and for the last one, so today is a good day.”

Car 65, Loubet/Bellotto
“It has been a very long rally and now, it is really important for us to finish.”

Car 70, Lappi/Ferm
“It is really good. It feels slippery and the end was really good grip but at the start it didn't feel so good. Maybe Nasser has backed-off. I think this is the position we want to keep. We have had some small issues but now we are here and we have to finish and take this result. ”

Car 71, Parn/Morgan
“10Km from the end of the stage, we lost all the brakes – instantly. I don’t know why. There is no brake pedal or handbrake. So we went to road mode and put the hazards on.”

Car 73, Maurin/Klinger
“We are pushing to try to catch Stephane [Lefebvre] as we have good tyres but we are not taking too many risks.”

Car 75, Al-Kuwari/Clarke
“We are driving with no risks – the guys in front and behind have spun, so we are driving like a chicken and checking the notes.”
