Stage Flash - SS8 Balão 1

23 maio 2015

Car 1, Ogier/Ingrassia
“For sure it’s a lot of work, it’s not the best position but what can I do with that?”

Car 2, Latvala/Anttila
“We overshot a junction, I had to handbrake the car and come back. Maybe lost five seconds.”

Car 3, Meeke/Nagle
“I had a good stage. It’s very slippery in places. I’m happy with my time. I think it’s slippery for everyone, it’s not a stage that’s cleaning, it’s just getting more and more loose. Mikkelsen is one car in front of me and he had a bloody good time.”

Car 4, Ostberg/Andersson
“Very tricky. I didn’t get a good rhythm, I did a bad stage. Couldn’t get any rhythm at all, it was a bad stage for me.”

Car 6, Tanak/Molder
“The car has been great. The hard tyres made it challenging in places. It’s a challenging road. Fast and very narrow, but we had a reasonably good rhythm.”

Car 8, Sordo/Marti
“I had to stop because Thierry’s car was in the middle of the road. We lost some time there. We tried to pass, but we lost maybe 8 seconds. We had to nudge the car out of the way.”

Car 9, Mikkelsen/ Floene
“It was a clean stage. Very careful in the beginning. It was better toward the end for me. We have six softs left so we have to get that to work.”

Car 12, Al Qassimi/ Patterson
“It was really difficult to not stop and offer the extinguisher. It was difficult to drive and to concentrate. There was a lot of distraction.”

Car 14, Kubica/ Szczepaniak
“All okay, no problems, no dramas. Difficult stage, narrow in places, easy to lose a wheel.”

Car 20, Paddon/Kennard
“I couldn’t get a rhythm, overshot a junction and lost five seconds. Just got really frustrated with the stage.”

Car 21, Prokop/Tománek
“It’s narrow to pass Neuville’s car, you have to go very slow. The stage was good though. The feeling with the car is much better.”

Car 37, Bertelli/Bernacchini
“We had a spin, but we lost a bit of time.”

Comments:

Elfyn Evans – car hit front right wheel, car on fire but under control.

Car 7, Neuville/Gilsoul – rolled mid-stage
