Media Accreditation Procedures

Dew to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s Accreditation requests for all WRC events are subject to extra requirements and limitations. Some of these are imposed by the hosting country (as these ones in Portugal), others by the Covid-19 Contingency Plan (being finalised), and also some by the FIA Appendix S.

We would like to stress that, besides smaller capacity of the Media Centre, Media has NO ACCESS to the Service Park, which is considered a High Density Area. Therefore, interactions with drivers will only be possible at the Media Zone in Exponor (at its normal schedule time, or upon direct schedule between Journalists and Drivers), always with Social Distancing measures in place and with a face mask at all times.

At the same time, Tabard Media will have access to the Media Centre (Low Density), as well as to the Special Stages. However, Tabard Media has NO ACCESS to the Service Park and Press Conferences. The same applies to the access to the End of Stage, which is limited to the WRC TV and broadcasting partners and official radio. Access to the Power Stage End of Stage area, in Fafe, will be extremely limited. Access to the Podiums is limited to the Low Density Photo Towers.

Press Conferences take place online, via Zoom. Journalist will be able to present their questions. Information on how to proceed will be given at the Media Centre.

The organiser will offer a pool photo service from the High Density Areas.

International Printed Media, Websites and Photographers

For these reasons, the Automóvel Club de Portugal will be providing a poole photo service to all media.

Accreditation requests for International Printed Media and Website representatives should be made on the following website: https://wrc.ams.fia.com/

The FIA will send a written reply with their decision regarding the request.

This document has to be presented when picking up the accreditation.

If the Media representative is unable to attend the event, he/she should inform FIA about that until seven days prior to the Accreditation Centre opening.

Please note that news agencies must send their requests to FIA using the aforementioned website address. This applies to all news agencies, even those with representation in the country in which the event is taking place.
